Welcome to Mind’s North West Physical Activity & Mental Health Network

National mental health charity, Mind, recognises the power of sport and physical activity to raise awareness, tackle mental health stigmas and support those of us with mental health problems to become more active.

To help professionals, organisations and individuals leverage the benefits of sport and physical activity in their communities, Mind has launched their Regional Network programme.

Merseyside Sports Foundation is the Hub (lead organisation) for the Regional Network in the North West of England. We’re committed to connecting people and expertise, to make sport and physical activity support for mental health even stronger in the region.

Discover a network of like-minded organisations

As the Regional Network Hub for the North West we’re here to:

  • Connect with and support the mental health sector, locally and nationally, plus other relevant partners to enhance collaboration and purpose
  • Provide quality networking events, where you can share experience and hear from experts
  • Signpost and provide CPD training opportunities, including those which allow you to accrue CIMSPA points
  • Promote your services and highlight impact to new audiences via the North West Mind Regional Network and affiliated social media channels
  • Help you get the most from national campaigns at a local level
  • Follow us on Twitter @MHSPAnetwork, and keep in touch with the programme nationally via #MindActiveNetwork
